Bahareh Samanian, Founder of Bahareh Legal

My priority is to provide value to my clients and attorney candidates in the legal recruiting process.

Employers seeking attorney talent or an attorney ready to make a lateral move have something in common - both need a savvy and strategic partner to help them navigate around every corner.

Why Bahareh Legal?

Strategic Talent Partner. With an extensive background in the practice of law, legal operations, and legal recruiting, Bahareh Samanian connects top legal talent with law firms ranging in scope from AmLaw 200 to niche, boutique players. More than a legal recruiter, she is a strategic talent partner to her clients and an advocate for candidates. She creates mutually beneficial relationships between clients and candidates, which she accomplishes through partnership and collaboration. Bahareh is a member of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC), the only organization representing the legal search profession and committed to upholding the highest ethical standards by requiring its members to adhere to a code of ethics. She serves on the NALSC Belonging & Inclusion Committee.

Talent and DEI Leader. Bahareh led full-cycle talent acquisition for an AmLaw 100 firm for several years where she worked closely with the firm’s Managing Partner, Executive Committee, Diversity Executive Council, Practice Group Chairs, and office leadership to achieve major hiring initiatives, particularly at the partner level. During her time, the firm diversified, welcomed lateral partners, counsel, and associates in significant growth industries, and expanded several offices. Together with her team, she implemented DEI recruiting and integration strategies, pipeline programs, and recruited the firm’s first Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. Bahareh supports local and national affinity organizations and is a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL).

Litigator and Trial Attorney. Bahareh understands the demands of legal practice. After law school, she worked as a civil litigator and trial attorney. For almost ten years, she managed a complex caseload across several states, tried cases in state and Federal court, and served as an arbitrator.

Employer and Alumni Relations. She worked in an innovative role as a law school recruiter connecting alumni with employers for attorney positions, many of which were not posted. Despite taking on this role during the legal recession, she successfully placed attorneys through this program.

Career Development Advisor. Bahareh has extensive experience reviewing and improving cover letters, resumes, CV’s, business plans, and lateral partner questionnaires, in addition to conducting behavioral interviews. She understands what employers want in an ideal candidate and what candidates need in an ideal employer.

More. As an immigrant moving to the U.S. at a young age, Bahareh quickly learned resilience, adaptability, and the value of hard work. She is passionate about ending child food insecurity and serves on the board for Backpack Brigade, a non-profit partnering with communities and schools in the Puget Sound to end weekend hunger and provide free weekend meals to school kids in need. She is also a board member of MAMA Seattle - Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association, an organization devoted to empowering mother attorneys and encouraging professional success.
